1 small masala velchi ( badi elaichi)
3 to 4 green chillies (adjust spice level to individual choice)
3 sprigs coriander leaves
Method :
Wash the rice atleast thrice to get rid of excess starch, drain the water and keep aside.
In a heavy bottoned pan heat oil, add mustard seeds. When they splutter add a pinch of asafoetida, turmeric powder, ground spices. Open the lid of the spice jar carefully as the spicy flavour whiffs up. Saute well. Add the green peas and saute a bit.
Add rice and saute well till the masala coats the rice. Add hot water and bring to a boil. When the rice is 3/4th done, add goda masala and salt . Add 2 tsp ghee and mix well. Cover and cook till done on low flame.
