For an accompaniment to pulaos and biryani this salad with a minty flavour tastes great.

RECIPE 

Ingredients

  • 1 big onion chopped thinly lengthwise
  • 4 to 5 mint leaves, 1 green chilli and 1 tbsp roasted chana dal (putana/ daria) ground to a coarse paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp lime juice

METHOD :

  • In a mixing bowl mix all ingredients mentioned above except lime juice. Sprinkle it just before serving.
  • Tastes best with pulaos and biryanis.
